NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC
Temporary Closure Regarding The Ellipse, Sherman Park, First Division Memorial, and E Street

Approximately three-fourths of the Ellipse, Sherman Park, E Street, and First Division Memorial will be closed to the public, including demonstrators on Saturday, April 24, from approximately 12 noon, through Sunday, April 25, at approximately 2 a.m. State Place and Alexander Hamilton Place will also be closed.

Closure Times and specific locations may be adjusted at the discretion of the United States Park Police. A map illustrating the closed area is identified on the reverse of this notice.

Persons demonstrating or otherwise using the portion of the park to be closed should remove themselves and any personal property from the area.

This action is necessary to provide security to the President and to the visiting heads of state for the NATO 50th Anniversary Summit.

The National Park Service appreciates the public's cooperation in this matter.
