Proposition One
SUPPORT IN THE UNITED STATES
FOR PROPOSITION ONE
In the U.S., Campaign '96 is underway in , and in
Takoma Park and Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Proposition One
Committees are germinating in California, Florida, New York.
National organizations such as Gray Panthers and Greens USA have
formally endorsed the idea; many others have informally endorsed
it by including it in their newsletters and collecting
signatures. Promoting Enduring Peace, for example, has sent us
thousands of signatures on a special petition circulated by its
members.
Hundreds of thousands of people have signed petitions
outside the White House since 1987.
