Thomas P.O. Box 27217 Washington, D.C. 20038 (202) 462-0757 July l4, l989 Dear Mr. Kurtz: Thank you for your thoughtful letter of June 15, 1989. I have never been entirely satisified that my own prespective of reality is absolutely correct. But, unless I'm completely off the beam, the City of Washington is more like a jungle than its ever been despite the fact that government has "LAW" and "ENFORCEMENT POWER." Really, sir, it is not as if I am living in an ivory tower. The "temporary drug tsars ... passing terrorists and roving bands of armed men" you are so concerned about hassel my family and friends everyday right in front of the White House. Don't expect much assistance from the authorities. Talk about selling the public on flying across the ocean like birds in 1900, and talking about the present day necessity to evolve concepts of reality capable of bringing humanity into the twenty-first century despite its fouled environment and "peace" through genocidal fire-power mind set, seem to be two very different things. I believe that if I fail it will only be because, while I attempted to confront fear, others may have used it as a rationale. I believe that, in principle, our pursuits are the same. I do not have a profound belief in luck. So, rather than wish you luck in your pursuit, I would advise you to fear God, and not man. Your friend, Thomas
