Dates and Faces, To the Best of Thomas' Knowledge and Recollection
Best as Thomas can recollect, seems it was August 10, 1988 when the Legaliaison delegation from the Texas Gathering caravaned to a stop in Peace (Lafayette) Park.
Thomas could be better at remembering names and faces, and isn't exactly clear about who all was there, but he's sure his tally is less than complete. As best he can recall attendees to the August 11, 1988 meeting with Dale Robertson, and Forest Service officials, were: Amazing Dave, Badger, Bill Baxter, Debbie, Garrick, Mary, Peace Ray, Plunker, Sailor, Thumper, White Owl, and about ten or fifteen other folks Thomas can't recall. With far less knowledge of the factual history at issue than anyone else in the room, Thomas sat silently throughout the meeting.
To the best of Thomas' recollection, in unity, and without a single murmur of dissent, the Legaliaison delegation -- of which Little White Owl was a member -- argued that the "Operating Plan" had a proven history of insuring that all of the Forest Service's legitimate land management concerns were met, thus proving no "substantial government interest" justified a "group use regulation" which would apply to Rainbow Family gatherings.
