Forest Service Regulations
After finding refuge
from ideological persecution in the wilderness of the "New
World," the founders of this country would be shocked and aghast at a current National Forest
Service power/land grab.
In May, 1993 the National Forest Service published a proposed
"group use" rule to criminalize the assembly of more than 75
people without a FS permit in any National Forest. This rule might not seem like a serious imposition
upon the liberty of this nation's people, but it is important to consider;
NO PERMIT REQUIREMENTS PREVIOUSLY EXISTED
TO RESTRICT FREEDOM OF
ASSEMBLY
IN THE NATIONAL FORESTS.
This regulation is like the "law" that made Robin
Hood an "outlaw," investing the Forest Service with legal
authority to say, "DISPERSE YE REBELS," and, like the British at
Lexington, open fire if enforcement officials determine they have cause to utilize what they like to call "reasonable force."
