Procedural Haywire

Anybody know David Practical? Any relation to the General? Does David's writing style just run in the Family?

Because Thomas didn't read the principal clones' ALL WAYS FREE diatribes until March, 1997, years after the Alabama Council, he didn't suspect that he might be being subtly accused of trying to bring humanity into submission to an anti-Christ, neo-communist, fascist, bureaucratic state.

Since nobody in council even mentioned the charges, Thomas sincerely imagined himself to be among friends -- no, not just friends, Family -- assembled to discuss A GOVERNMENT PLOT intended to bring ALL OF THEM all into total submission under a system of social rule which Thomas himself considered to be demonic.

In retrospect, Thomas feels foolish. Then he referred to "the Beast," meaning the "system," which he believed to be conspiring against "the Family." Only now, looking back, does he realize that others in the same Circle, talking about "the Beast," might have been referring to him.

If there were true concerns, and those were concerns affected the whole Family, then that council was the place to speak of those concerns, but they weren't mentioned.
